In order to maintain and enjoy the attractive appearance of your windows, doors and shutters for many years without much effort, it is necessary to adhere to the instructions for cleaning and maintenance. What products to use for cleaning?
• The most ideal product for cleaning profiles is a soft cloth, lukewarm water and pH-neutral soap-based cleaning agent, colorless and non-aromatic recommended. More often than not, regular cleaning with lukewarm water is enough.
• In case of coarse dirt, specially verified agents for cleaning PVC-profiles, similar to the one in the VEKA cleaning package, should be used.
• In no way is it allowed to use abrasive agents or rough sponges, rags or brushes for abrasion or rubbing.
• The application of solvents and acidic liquids is also not allowed. These agents can cause permanent damage to the surface of the profile.
• Do not use steam cleaners, as the steam can soften the PVC.
How is cleaning done?
Cleaning is necessary whenever visible stains appear on the surface of the profile. Otherwise, dirty layers in contact with raindrops can leave permanent damage.
• Most cleaning agents do not pose a risk during brief contact with the profile, but prolonged exposure can cause damage. Therefore, it is very important that after cleaning you wash the profiles with clean water to remove all residues of the cleaning agent. It is also necessary to have an urgent cleaning after a short contact with the tanning cream, otherwise you may have permanent and visible changes in the surface of the profile.
